SGMAG.COM SNOW
Catching Up with Pro Snowboarder Gretchen Bleiler
September 9, 2003
Interview by Robyn Lass

How's your summer been?
My summer has been very busy, with vacations and photo shoots and snowboarding and all sorts of fun things. I'm having a lot of fun enjoying the sunshine and warm weather!

What brings you to sunny Southern California
Well, I just got back from a trip to Valle Nevado, Chile. I was there with Oakley doing testing and fitting for Oakley's new 2004 apparel. The snow was not ideal down there -- pretty icy -- so we did what we needed to do and then came back to California. I'm just hanging out here until I go on my next trip, and it looks like that's going to be New Zealand.

You're always traveling; what's the best book you've read recently?
I would have to say Lance Armstrong's autobiography -- it's such an amazing story.

And the best movie?
I can't remember the last movie I saw... Well, I guess it was How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. I saw it on the airplane on the way to Chile. I was definitely laughing out loud with that one.

Of all the cute snowboard boys out there, who do you think is the cutest?
That's a tough one to say -- there are so many, I can't choose one!
