SGMAG.COM GEAR
Skin Care, Island Style
April 30, 2003
by Christina Scannapiego

"Mmmmm, delicious." That was my first reaction when I tried out three Circle of Friends skin-and hair-care products: Ana Banana Shampoo, Leilani Halakahiki Hand and Body Lotion, and Abebi Safari Detangler. First and foremost, these products smell so good, you could almost eat them. They might be made for children, but I'm 26 and I'm hooked.

Each product is rich with the scent of banana, coconut, citrus, and other fruit. The bottles display the different characters who lend their names to the name of the product, hailing from different parts of the world. On the back of the packaging, these gals tell their stories.

Remember that Circle of Friends is made for children, so it's best suited for those who prefer light products that are not heavily saturated with chemicals. The shampoo, detangler, and lotion felt quite neutral on my skin and hair, and would work perfectly for those with sensitive skin.

Circle of Friends is the premier professional hair, bath, and body line for children. While you can get them for your little sister, however, you should definitely pick an extra set up for yourself. The products are available at Cool Cuts 4 Kids, Planet Beauty, and finer salons nationwide. For more information, or to order, call (800) 267-4781, or visit www.circle-of-friends.com.
